Waterbased Fun Activities

Team Sailing

Sailing Teambuilding is probably the best natural teambuilding activity available to corporate clients, it requires everyone to work together and sail the yacht forwards harnessing all its resources.

We offer team building sailing days run in the safe and beautiful Solent waters on the south coast. Solent sailing is steeped in history and is famous for marinas and towns such as Lymington, Southampton, Yarmouth and perhaps most importantly Cowes; home to the world famous Cowes week regatta.

Through our network of associates we can organise events in venues such as Mallorca, France, Greece and Spain. The choice includes superb 40’ yachts which are ideal for 6-8 guests plus skipper and crew, luxury 54’ yachts which comfortably accommodate 10-12 and several 70’ round the world racing yachts for up to 18 people, and ’Copihue’ a 74’ classic for those very special occasions.

PJ Stevens has assisted a number of the GBR Olympic sailing team to win medals in Greece and Beijing. So he has an interesting insight into sailing, winning, preparation and commitment to the sport. In addition PJ and the LEAP team have facilitated a variety of team development sailing events in the UK, France, Spain, Switzerland (on lakes) and Germany, whether for fun or team building and management training for groups of 6-120 people.

Should you wish, we can arrange for one of the Americas Cup sailors, Round the world skippers or Olympic Sailors to host your sailing event and work with Leap’s facilitators to give additional value and outcomes for you and your team.

Team Sailing

“On a sailboat it is crucial to allocate roles and first and foremost everyone must do their own job well. The good teams will be those that find the next level where they can cover for each other, plan ahead and stay one step in front of the opposition. Sailing and especially racing puts the individual, the team and the leadership under pressure. How better to improve your team than through a shared learning experience?”

Ian Walker

former Skipper of ‘GBR Challenge’ the British America’s Cup Team
